Project Overview
A returning private client contacted us to submit a planning application for a designated Direct Provision (International Protection Accommodation Services -IPAS)centre. It was to house over 300 residents, roughly 50% of whom are children, making it a significant centre for family accommodation. It is to be located on an 18-acre site.
Work Carried Out
Coyle Environmental needed to take a multi-disciplinary approach to the project. It required complex project management involving various stakeholders and departments of Coyle Environmental. Our waste management department gave input on the design of sewage pumping station and water treatment plant considering site specific sensitivities, water usage and foul water discharge volumes. We needed to source third party providers for supply and installation of sewage pumping station, water treatment plant and well installation. Our team coordinated the installation of the pump station and rising main and water treatment plant and borehole drilling.
Outcomes
Coyle Environmental prepared and lodged the planning application for the sewage pumping station, which also included pulling together a team of third-party specialists for input on certain aspects. A licence to discharge trade effluent to sewer application was also lodged. Both these applications were granted. We also provided advice on compliance with Planning and discharge licence conditions.
